I just cleaned ammy's viv out fully for the first time as I have now had him for a month. Is it normal for the aspen to be quite smelly? Its didn't smell foul or anything but it certainly wasn't pleasant. I spot clean daily and anything that gets pooped on is disinfected right away. should be cleaning the viv out more often?
I also weighed him today and he was now 353g, he has gained 16g in a month. Is this about normal? He is 15 months old now.

As GP said, probably missed poo lol. I use Auboise and find it to have a kind of nice but not strong farmy smell. When the corns are nearing a clean it can be quite pongy with the poo. Specialy missed poo left cooking on a mat.. xp

it's prolly some liquid urates that you've missed that are making the smell, how often you clean out depends on how clean your individual snake is
