Posted - 11/06/2011 : 20:10:58 Was walking aroundwith Astrid today and popped into the Kitch to get my sons drink as i was picking it up the cat jumped onto the side Astrid had a little nose at tia and tia had a sniff in her directon next thing i know Astrid had SRUCK OUT at the cat with her just sat there. luckily both cat and snake are fine here's a pic of said victim though it's not recent.
Very happy that Tia did not take a swipe back think she was in shock. |

Posted - 11/06/2011 : 22:23:22 I keep my cats away from my snakes lol! Miki us INSANE! And she sees the snakes as big long bits of string. I cant get any peace with the snakes if her and Elvis are in the same room as them! I have to click the door shut as Elvis runs at the door (head on haha) to get in. |

Posted - 11/06/2011 : 22:12:24 Glad to know my snake is not the only cat hater! My king jumped and tried to strike at a cat brishung it's tail against the viv several times now... it also lets out a hiss...
Did it manage to bite the cat?

Posted - 11/06/2011 : 20:27:25 Nah she's quite timid had it been one of the others though the outcome would have alot different as you said cats kill snakes |

Posted - 11/06/2011 : 20:24:42 Snakes have no concept of domestication they just see a threat and do what has to be done. It is lucky like you say the cat did not react bit of a lazy beast, I had a cat years ago that used to catch and kill anything that moved. |

Posted - 11/06/2011 : 20:21:14 I always said I'd get another cat once my dog Roxy went, coz I grew up with them and miss having one.
But I got a parrot, snakes, rabbits and a hamster. None of which sit well with cats!! Still thinking about it though. Would just need to be very careful with what comes out when!!
Glad you had no casualties. |

Posted - 11/06/2011 : 20:16:58 Haha, they know danger when they see it and defend themselves accordingly. Cats kill snakes. |
