hi guys, my snow shed today and i examined the shed and noticed some very fine short hairs on the tail, is this normal and if so what is its purpose?

i try not to ask daft questions on here but this just intreagues me

Its not hair. Its probably just very fine pieces of the moulted skin. Reptiles lack hair follicles so could no way grow hair.
