I am looking after a friends python next week, my son wants him in his room, only space is a few inces away from Kellogs, is this ok will the scent each other and freak out? they are both just under a year old. Any help appreciated!

personally I would treat this snake as any other new snake to a home, It should be quarantined away from all other reptiles in your house.
