... I'm hoping to be able to collect mine tomorrow so was wondering if there's anybody else that has one and can recommend some decent apps for it. I've got a few in mind but there are so flippin' many I'm bound to miss some.

And just to connect this to snakes... I'm really looking forward to utilising the camera on the ipad to shoot a few nice pictures and HD videos of my 4 little children to share with you all.

Pete

Yeah but I drained my savings last year to fund all that stuff and it wasn't as expensive as it sounds! I am certainly not rich! lol Am pleased with my new toy though. Just a shame I am going back to work tonight after a month off following surgery. Best start getting ready I suppose...

Yeah I went a bit mad after I lost my wife last year. I was suffering depression (surprise surprise!) and my doctor advised if I could afford it to treat myself to something nice and take a holiday. So I bought a 50 inch telly, surround sound system and a PS3. And took myself off to Vegas for 10 days.

Just phoned the store and it's in now. I'm off to collect it...

cheers guys. I had a very small windfall so decided to treat myself to some gadge. Partly to cheer me up after the loss of my dog the other day. Already paid for the ipad and it's supposed to be in stock this afternoon.

Thanks for that list Macspud! Have downloaded a number of those now in preparation.

Have a look at the samsung and the HTC me and my husband have the phone versions and they are fantastic compared to my mates iPhone 4 ...no expert though.....as for apps...it's got to be angry birds!!!!

( I think the new HTC tablet is very high spec, like I say I am not an expert)

Personally if I was you I'd hold out for the galaxy 10.1 and 8.9 tabs. Set to be the thinnest tabs on the market, also the best looking in my opinion!
