Posted - 06/05/2011 : 11:28:22 milo has been shedding a huge amount since ive had him and im a bit confused as to why he dose it so much he went into blue when i first got him and shed two weeks later, then 4 weeks later he shed again, then 4 weeks and he shed again, then again 3 weeks later and now two weeks later he is in blue again?!
he is a adult snake and should only be shedding around 8 times a year and he is doing it every other week!
any ideas anyone? |

Posted - 08/05/2011 : 12:29:52 If he has been injured they take a while to heal and they shed out any skin damage. If he has been suffered an impact you'd be as well taking Milo to a vet for an X-Ray, just to check if it has broken his ribs. |

Posted - 08/05/2011 : 12:14:05 a few months ago we did think he had mights be he didn't have any but he dose have a lot of damaged scales, which was my fault he escaped and was in the back of my chest of draws, in my room and i shut a draw on him a few weeks ago and when i realised he was in there i felt so gulity, sorry milo x but he seemed unfazed by it ) on closer inspection today, shows that the scales down one side of his body were crinkled and 5 were bent

Posted - 07/05/2011 : 14:51:59 I'm pretty sure you thought Milo had mites a few months ago. If he does/did then he will shed a lot until he has repaired the damage that mites do. |
