If i was to get a climbing branch from the woods, 1) would it be safe and 2) i would i treat it before hand?

http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2402 That is a list of toxic or unsafe woods in there too. I use apple tree branches, strip the bark off and bake them in the oven to dry them out.
