Posted - 16/04/2011 : 19:14:51 Sadly Harriet one of my sons ex-battery hens died last night. She had only been with us for 10 months but I hope that the last 10 months were the happiest of her life. They have such a terrible life in those cages. She will be greatly missed, not only by us but also by her fellow flock members. |

Posted - 16/04/2011 : 21:28:04 I'm currently looking after a friends three ex-battery hens while she's away for the weekend and I've got to say they're great little characters. Sorry for your loss but at least she had a good life at the end. |
