Bought some moss today and then phoned the shop I bought it for as something didn't seem right, turned out it was wild picked. Is there any way I can steralise it to ensure there's no mite infestations or ticks - steaming possibly?

I am getting to lead on by the many books I have. Cost me 4.50 for a huge bag that I reckon will do me at least a year

I personally wouldn't risk it. The bagged up specialist reptile spagnum isn't expensive and shuld be free from nasties.
