Posted - 17/03/2011 : 19:22:52 I have a baby cornsnake "Carlos" approx 4 months old. My son left his viv open in his bed room and he escaped last night.. We have searched the house from top to bottom, but can see no sign of him. I tried leaving out a pinkie for him last night in the open viv but no joy. Does anyone have any advice on how to track him down. I am concerned that he will go somewhere where he cant get out of and die. Can someone please help. Gordon |

Posted - 22/03/2011 : 16:31:39 6 days missing and still no visible sign of him. I have laid lines of flour on the floor at doorways and woke in the morning to find signs that he has been there. I have tried 2 x bottle traps last night, but no joy and no sign of movement last night either. He was last fed over a week ago.I have had every room upsatirs emptie completely but no sign, although I know he is upstiars somewhere. Anybody have any other ideas.

Posted - 17/03/2011 : 19:45:19 Is it a hatchling or an adult. I have red a few threads of snakes going missing and turning up again withindays and one nearly a year before it resurfaced. The bottle trap is a good one, you can do tape traps but they are stressful for the snake and may injure them too. |

Posted - 17/03/2011 : 19:41:56 thanks for the link, seems like there is some good advice, although I could be in for a long wait. My son is distraught and really worried that Carlos will not bee seen again. |
