Had Spot out in the sun this afternoon and got a good look at his colouration since his shed at the weekend and he has yellow coming through on his nose and down the sides of his neck. My camera doesn't cope with sunlight so no pictures until my new camera arrives but my little man is growing up.

the basic colour pigments are erythrin (red), xanthin (yellow) and melanin (black)
anerys lack the red pigment which makes the yellow more striking

It's surprising how much yellow shows up in the sun. I thought you'd captured it the other day on the photos you took, especially the nose.
