Posted - 11/03/2011 : 07:26:12 I've had Lola since January she was a little shoelace when I got her and still is. She's probably grown about an inch but hasn't put on any weight at all. She's only 11g the same as when we got her on 24th January.
Her temperatures are fine, she's in perfect sized housing for her size. She is currently on 1 pinkie every 4 days. Which she takes readily and is incredibly active. She's out every night doing acrobats and waiting for her door to be opened
I just don't know why she's not gaining weight??? |

Posted - 01/04/2011 : 17:01:08 Yeah they do been worried about Lola. She was my first corn and still the smallest. She has completely got left behind from the others. Now just hoping she is on the way to getting huge! Have a 3 ft viv waiting for her, but not looking like she's going in it any time soon lol |

Posted - 01/04/2011 : 16:25:34 Its nice to hear that she is gaining weight. I can't wait until John and Kevin are big enough to move to fuzzies. They were non feeders at the start and now weigh 10g and 11g and now starting their 6th month of life! I've found it hard not to worry about their weights as Keith and Frank are just 9 weeks older than them but weigh 59g and 60g. They all vary so much. |

Posted - 01/04/2011 : 15:50:35 The 23 g corn has jumped up to 35 in under 2 weeks after moving onto fuzzies she is roughly 6 months where as Lola is about the same age and less than half that!! |

Posted - 17/03/2011 : 20:34:59 Spot is eating big rat pups at the moment, they are bigger than big fuzzies but smaller than a mouse, I bought some for the royal to get him feeding and it worked and he is now eating Chiuaua's (well large weaner rats but almost the same). Spot loves them he gets one every other week, don't want him getting used to it, but he is almost too big for fuzzies so this is helping him along. Plus I hate waste, specially meat waste so someone is eating them. |

Posted - 17/03/2011 : 20:04:12 So more food is the way forward, good news on the 2 grams, thats about what Spot gains weekly so sounds good to me anyway. Double feed until your out of pinkies and convert to fuzzies and watch her shoot up. |

Posted - 13/03/2011 : 23:25:20 hi my little snow was only 5g when i got him he was previously a non feeder, got him on 29th oct and he stopped eating again for 2 weeks he now weighs 14g so is gradualy putting on weight, he has shed twice and grown 3" i feed him twice a week, on a mon and on a friday which seems to do the trick as hes doing well

Posted - 13/03/2011 : 22:09:47 i'd go for 2 pinkies, increasing the feeding interval to 7 days, then next feed then 6 days, then next feed and 5 days then stay at a 5 day feeding regime. any more frequent and the snake's system will overload as they're not designed to be constantly digesting food.
oh, and do expect more poo lol |

Ive got this one from a few feeds back.... This one shows her after a very small pinkie which was limbless. She's now back on proper pinkies so bulge is big bigger

you could try her on 2 pinkies but i'd increase the feeding interval initially
I honestly don't know if she could take 2 as just 1 leaves a considerable bulge. She seems very quick to digest though she is sometimes out roaming her viv 12 hours later , but without doubt always after 36 hours.
We moved her from 7 days to 5 now down to 4, would you feed more regularly than that say every 3?? |
