Posted - 01/02/2011 : 11:00:13 Hi there all i have a 1 year old carolina corn called Mitch i have never had any problems with him taking feeds and he always seems to want it however i have seen alot of pics and seen alot of people talking about constricting now when i feed Mitch he never does this he just literally snaps at it and starts swallowing... Is there any reason for this and should i be worried? He is on extra large mice and i have tried him on jumbo which he has no problem eating either always fed him on frozen mice in the 3 months i have had him but he has never constricted or attempted to wrap his food up once
Many Thanks

Marvolo makes my corns look so lazy :) |

Posted - 01/02/2011 : 18:05:20 Dodge just uses the vacuum cleaner method for his pinkies and sort of slurps them up, where as Scubajr new corn struck and attempted to coil on his first feed with us, but as long as they both get the food down and keep it down I'm happy either way. |

Posted - 01/02/2011 : 13:54:01 One of my snakes has never constricted as of yet and the other did a sort of half one once. They are all different in their feeding techniques. The important thing is he's feeding so don't worry. 4ft does seem extraordinarily big for a year old corn snake! |

Posted - 01/02/2011 : 13:43:17 its not for definate but the guy said he was about 9 months old when i got him about 3 months ago hes coming upto the 4ft mark. I know this is not for definate and im always sceptical of what people in pet shops say but as far as im aware he is. |
