im unsure about how to feed milo
i know your supossed to feed them in a diffrent tub but milo has allways been feed in his viv since he was a baby and he hasn't had any problemswith eating substrate and pet shop guy said that i should just feed him in his viv and he will be fine.
personally i would rather have your advice, considering that it is the pet shop that i got milo from remmember :/

any advice

All my snakes get fed in the viv, nothing down for them to eat off. Never had a problem with "viv defensiveness" (load of tosh imo) or substrate ingestion.

If you are happy to feed him in his viv and that's what he has been used to then I don't see any point in changing anything just yet other than putting something down to stop any substrate being swallowed.

You can always try feeding him out of the viv once he has got to know you better and used to you. I feed all mine out of their houses but only because I weigh them first in an empty tub then just feed them in it straight after.

It is as Kehhlyr says, down to personal choice. :)

Feeding out of the viv takes away any risk of swallowing substrate, its worth trying it that way first, if he eats then you know you can feed that way if not then the snake answers the question for you, But as K says, put something down its a small step to take to avoid HUGE vet bills getting the pipes unblocked.

My personal preference is separate from viv

It is personal choice. I feed mine in a seperate container so they don't become viv defensive or take in any substrate.
It really is up to you.

Try feeding him in his viv if you like.
To be honest it's owner preference really.

All I'd say is if you do feed in the viv to put something down first so snakie can't accidently ingest substrate. A bit of newspaper or kitchen towel should do the trick.
