hi all.
just wondering, if you could choose any male to put to a female amel(no known hets)what would it be???
try to keep it under 100 quid pls...... |

on the talk of morphs, can anyone recommend a good book on them? would love to find out more about them. |

not really, but if you know which generation they are you'll know how much inbreeding there has been and thus when it would be wise to outcross to other lines. |

f1 = first filial = first generation of offspring from unrelated parents. If you then breed those babies back to each other or to one of their parents that is the f2 (second filial) and so on.... |

yup, amel, ultra and ultramel are the only things guaranteed to give you f1 morphs |

If the amel has no hets then i'm pretty sure (not a morph master!) that you can only visually get normals (when paired to anything without the amel gene), amels (when paired to anything with the amel gene) and ultramels (when paired to something with the ultra gene)
