#ok I was supposed to be taking him to see a rep specialist on Saturday BUT the house had other plans! Had to cough up for our boiler to be fixed. Which means I now cant afford to take him till next week, maybe even a couple of weeks after that as car due the mot this month too!! (someone REALLY isnt on my side!!!)prayin the car passes!

So I Chose to feed him 2 fuzzies... of course I know he should be on large mice but after finding mice in the viv he came in I wasnt sure wether he was refusing to eat or regurging or whatever,,,,
So I gave him 2 of Charlies Fuzzies.... He took both!

Now its wait and see... if he doesnt regurge then can I go straight ahead and give him large mice OR should I go for a medium one... and when as the fuzzies werent really enough for his size it was more a test to wether he is off his food or not (which he isnt)

It's a nightmare when the unexpected happens. Not liking all these unexpected exenses coming up at all! But probably our own faults as we tend to wait till things break to replace and fix rather than maintain lol.
Well Gollum has now kept them in about 22hours. Though I note he not in his warm end! Im hoping cos it was such a small meal for him he didnt need to be because he did initially go into his warm spot but noticed he came out this morning and has laid in the cool end ever since. Have checked for regurge and nothing as yet...
Will feed him Tuesday now with a medium mouse see how he goes with that it will only be 6days but I am aware yesterdays 2 fuzzies were ridiculously too small a meal but I wanted to be safe. Im thinking if he keeps that down then the mice in the viv he came in maybe they werent eaten due to it stinking so bad he didnt know they were there as he didnt hesitate to eat last night ... either that or a large mouse was too big .. but by the size of him I doubt that.

Its typical, there is always something that comes up and knocks you on your ****. My boiler went 2 weeks before Christmas and took a week to get it fixed, I had family coming to stay too. It never rains it pours as the old saying goes. I'd say if you have no immediate reason to suspect illness, if he eats, poos and has no lumps, bumps, cuts, etc then it removes the urgency to see a rep-vet, a checkup is still a good idea though but don't overstretch yourself.

I had to rehome Matilda this week as so many unexpected bills have come in as well as having to house him independantly considering circumstances he came in. The boiler going down was tip of ice berg had to borrow some funds to cover whole expense so though I know he NEEDS to be seen by a pro I know I cant afford it now until at the LEAST next week providing car passes so I did 2 fuzzies... hoping car passes and next week I can take him... if not going to give him a small mouse.... the week after though I cant see an issue with taking him (dont want to talk too soon lol) but its a council tax free month so at the very least have an amount free to cough up anything I need to.
Welcome to 2011 ... come to bankrupt me pmsl!

I would say as your not sure of his feeding history then work your way up the sizes, if only to put your mind at rest.
