We just got our first and my son got pooped on after it's first feeding. He was really freaked out!!! And it really is so stinky!! But just as scubadude said, towel from now on when handling!!!

I've not been pooped on but bitten countless times!
mowdid Posted - 11/01/2011 : 21:56:05
i tried waiting till she pooped already but she still manages to save some for me will have to learn to watch for it and keep tissue near by lol.
i suppose its better than her not pooping at all though. im just going to convince myself its a sign of affection lol.
and at least its amuseing.

Loki did it in my lap once (typically after not going for a week so I had 2 pinkies worth deposited on me). My God,the stench!!

Is she a nervous snake?

They usually poo on people when they are a bit scared

or

She could just enjoy making you mucky

She poos everytime she is out, luckly i've learned the signs and will put her over something easily wipeable. It's good cause i know shes pooping and how to notice if its unusual looking.

Nope not been pooped on yet, but when I had Dodge out yesterday for a stroll on the bed, after about 5 mins tail up and a lovely big squelcher, next time towel on the bed, not just a bedspread

Never been pooped on :0 Although Char does take to pooping on my bed, guests that hold her, boyfriend, and lately her food.

You can sometimes tell when they are going to do a poop as there is like a bulge near the vent area. I don't handle mine until they have pooped after a meal which is like 2/4 days.

So far so good, not been pooped on. I try the same as lotabob, I wait till Nimbus has pooped which is always 48 hours after his feed. then I clean his home out and hold him for a while. He usually then goes again but a smaller poop once I pop him back in.

It's still early days though and I know now that I have put this he will poop all over me the next time I hold him!!!

I wait until Spot goes before I handle him. He normally poops either 2 or sometimes 3 days after eating so I just wait. He's quite regular and even goes in the same place in his viv. Even so he's saved a bit for my hand on one occasion, makes you wonder where they keep it all.

yes, Tiko poops on me everytime! Its quite normal as handling will stimulate the muscles needed to poop. I have learnt to recognise it now and everytime he is going to go he goes very still and lifts his tail right up in the air! Not nice but enough time to grab a tissue! What a nice snake mommy I am!
