aww my little snow corn has died, it hadn't eaten for 2 weeks, eventually it had a pinkie 2 weeks ago, then it ate the following week, was ok friday when i checked it again the following day it was dead, looked like it hadn't digested the pinkie it had eaten the sunday before.

Benji54 i'm not sure it is the set up, the other 3 have been in exactly the same set up and they are all eating fine, having a bit of a move round with them all over the weekend so will look into the setup a bit further, but i am going to try braining the pinkie, or dipping in tuna see if that works, sure once it starts eating it will be like all the others and i wont be able to stop it then.
Got to say the new snow corn is a lot more livelier than the last, i just think i may have had a sick one, who knows!!

really sorry for your loss. poor lil snake.

in the nicest possible way, thers no chance the lack of feeding could be a setup issue is ther? not your fault but just something amiss in the habitat? if the new one is displaying similar behaviour maybe worth checkin out? im sure it was probably just one of those unhelpable (is that a word??) things but worth a check to be on the safe side.

good luck! :)

Ah sorry for your loss :( I'm always worrying over medusa as she's only 4 months old
boil the pinkie, till it's quite warm and then try and feed your snake but make the mouse look life like and trick your snake :P
or 'brain' the pinkie, when I first got medusa she wouldn't eat the first three weeeks and I was stressing so much that I tried the 'braining' move and it worked :)
Good luck and I hope your snake does well

Try rubbing the pinkie on real un cooked tuna.

Worked for me!

Also, take a look at this

Have a problem there i didnt pay for it!!! LOL he has replaced the last one as it died, i am sure if it keeps up not eating he will take it back and try and get it to eat.
Do i just put it in some boiling water, would that do it?
eeji Posted - 28/12/2010 : 17:15:53
try a boiled pinky, that usually works. If she continues to not eat for you you need to tell the breeder so you can get your money back.

Poor you, you must be really upset esp when their so young, my baby snow is 4 months and tiny he didnt feed for 2 weeks when I got him and I was worried so can imagine what you feel
Think the black in its belly is its organs as my snow has 2 black blobs that you can see I think its cause they are more see thru when their babies
My adult snow once took a week to digest her food was quite worried it would rot away
Dont know if helps at all
Once again sorry for your loss
