Posted - 26/11/2010 : 22:26:34 I am addicted to snakebyte TV on youtube at the moment and they test snake myths. One that was particularly interesting was testing ways to get a snake to let go if it bites. They tried different methods but then showed the method they use. Listerine! To get snakes to release when they bite they just drip a tiny amount next to where they are biting but tilt it so the listerine does go into the snakes mouth and they release almost instantly. I'm guessing with a corn its not quite as urgent as when a 11 foot boa bites but it did work and they said its completely safe. Don't shoot the messenger though, just something I heard, I'm not going to be keeping a bottle by the vivarium, I'm just not worried about been bitten. |
