Posted - 28/10/2010 : 19:27:32 I'm picking up my little pewter hatchling tomorrow now instead os Sunday and I still can't make my mind up what to call him! He looks like he has a V or love heart on his head. These are some ideas. Could you let me know what you think please??
Pepe Le Pewter (taken from the cartoon charactar Pepe Le Pew) Vlad (The Constrictor) Percy (Perseus) Vincent (I love Vincent Price and its Alice Coopers real name) Valentino Falcor (the luck dragon from Neverending Story) Anubis |

Posted - 29/10/2010 : 08:22:45 Yeah,I know he'll probably lose it,but it'll still mean something to me.....reminder of his babyhood Ripley is a brill name and aww bless little Widget,I hope he's ok for you. I'm getting him today now but I was thinking Halloweeny which is where Vlad and Vincent come in. At the mo I'm thinking Vincent still as its also the name of the beast in the old series Beauty and the Beast (showing my age now!!) and Tim Burton made a short called Vincent.
Ps.Big thanks to you Ian as its through your recommendation that I'm getting my little fella |

Posted - 28/10/2010 : 23:48:46 You should think about how he'll look when he's older too, with that loss of the markings that comes with the diffusion. You might loose the V as he ages, and then you may find that the explanation for the name just doesn't work any more, lol!
With my guys, Ripley was a name I've been wanting to use for ages, and seemed to suit my little Anery. Widget was just thinking of names that would indicate his kinked physicality, and Boa'tata was a funny one, and changed quite a bit, though originated from a want of a halloween based name!
Actually, you could think of something Halloween-y, especially as you are getting him Halloween day! However, to chose from the names you've given, if he is an 'affectionate' snake and likes being handled, Pepe Le Pewter all the way, lol!!! |

Posted - 28/10/2010 : 20:45:55 Cheers guys, that a pretty good cross section My daughter likes Percy,my son likes Vlad and I'm rather keen on Vincent. I'll see what he's like in the *scale* tomorrow and that might hopefully help. Think I'm too excited to think straight!! Loki was named near enough instantly because he had such a mischevious look about him |

Posted - 28/10/2010 : 19:45:30 I fave Vincent - would be cool with a Vincent the Snake ;) And Percy would be a cute snake. But the name depends on how the snake is (If like me you think a snake has a personality) xD |
