Posted - 15/09/2010 : 20:35:48 Without enough shelter and the other good stuff. This is a 6 month old leopard gecko, he should be in the region of about 20g, i had him for 2 days before he died. He weighed about 4 or 5g when he died. In the grand scheme of things it took 6 months for him to die, he never fed properly and his owner didnt pay much attention to that fact, personally i feel he should be shot (the owner), the only favour he did this gecko was let me have it. He is Still alive in these pictures, he died shortly after, and i must admit, i helped. I couldnt see him recovering from this, he was too week to drink, he couldnt eat, he barely ever opened his eyes, he had absolutely no fat on him whatsoever, and virually no muscle.
So, for those of you who believe that its perfectly ok for a baby to go in a 4ft viv, have a damn good look at these pics. I know its a gecko and not a cornsnake, but believe me, the results are exactly the same.

If these dont make you sad or angry, go outside and have a word with yourself. |

Posted - 16/09/2010 : 09:59:39 :( poor little thing, but well done for giving him a nice few days on the planet. Why these people get any sort of pet is beyond me they shouldn't be trusted with a house plant!!! they need a kicking (the people not the house plants...)
Just hope these idiots don't try and replace this one and have the whole ordeal happening again to some other poor creature :( |

Posted - 16/09/2010 : 09:27:57 I found that picture incredibly disturbing. Just because exotics aren't as large or common as dog or cats, they all too often fall into the hands of stupid, disgusting people who don't deserve them and don't care for them. Its not difficult, my 2 year old nephew knows how to care for corns already! Anything like this should be treated as deliberate neglect and the offender dealt with harshly |

Posted - 15/09/2010 : 22:07:55 Thats awful. Poor skinny little tail. Mrs G looks so beautiful in comparison. (I have learnt how to clean off her remaining shed from her toes since this pic was taken)

Posted - 15/09/2010 : 21:18:35 That's so sad :( I know that many animals once they can stop eating it can be the end of them quite quickly but for him to live for months like this is very sad. Poor guy. |

Posted - 15/09/2010 : 21:17:12 Poor little guy =[ Makes me sad and feel the need to hug one of my pets. Or all, but I'm sure they wouldn't cooperate.
Well done Mike for taking care of him even though it was for as short as it was. It was better he was cared for even in his death than to be left to just starve. |
