Hey all,

I got my first corn snake a little over a week ago (go me! ), is it normal for them to not move for hours on end? Now dont get me wrong i wasnt expecting her to do somersaults around the viv (at least not until i find a tiny little circus trainer to teach her! lol) but i thought she would have to move more often to regulate her temperature?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Heavens - yes. I'm surprised the lazy little gits don't get bedsores!

Seriously, yes, they are very sedentary - or they can be one week - and then the next they'll be banging on the viv window and clamouring for armchair walkies.

All the best.

welcome, yes it is very normal for corns to stay hidden, unless you can watch them for 24 hours a day you wont know what they are upto when you are sleeping so she may be moving about then.

Also as you have only had her a week it is normal for them to hide away to settle in to the new housing they have.

Read through the caresheet on the homepage to the website, you will get some good info to start with.
