Posted - 09/09/2010 : 14:49:03 I was just wondering if any of you have come across a documentary or two on the corn snake in the wild?
The main reason i'm asking is because for one of my animal behaviour assignments, I have to observe behaviours exhibited by both a wild animal and its domestic/captive counterpart, and I think it would be nice to do it on the corn, problem is I just cannot seem to find any good footage of wild corns doing that they do best.
so any suggestions on footage would be really helpful thanks in advance.

Posted - 17/09/2010 : 19:09:22 sorry for the extremely late reply you lot. I have decided to study the Western Lowland Gorilla instead of the corn, more info online, plus i can observe the captives at the zoo for the second part of my assignment

Posted - 10/09/2010 : 20:19:57 Ok thanks guys, much appreciated for the feedback
BATS,i will keep what you said in mind, thank you very much
rachiepotatoe, i am studying Animal Management at college, one of the units includes animal behaviour
this particular assignment has a quick turn around, so unfortunatley i think i am going to have to pick another animal to study, maybe the gorilla or something, one that has alot of documentary evidence :/ then i could observe the captive gorillas at the zoo.
but thanks again guys |

Posted - 09/09/2010 : 22:49:29 I havn't seen any on corn snakes specifically, but 'Life' narrated by David Attenborough tends to cover some snakey ness, but not tonnes :\
Can I just ask are you doing Animal Behaviour at Uni or something? |

Posted - 09/09/2010 : 16:17:48 I wonder if you could source some footage in the States. There is a guy on RFUK called Habu who would help, but the last I heard of him he wasn't on the forums much. There is a member on the Royal Python Forum called Anatess who's from the States - and possibly more - maybe if you subscribed to both forums and asked if anyone could help, you might find something. Habu is great - I once joked about it being a pity snakes didn't eat slugs - and straight back came some footage of a snake doing just that!
Good luck! |
