Pulled up outside, looked pretty small and unimpressive to be honest. So I walked in and what do I see only a display tank about half the size of a stable, in which was a 13 foot long burmese python! She was a beauty! Beside her in another huge tank was some sort of monitor, very big and impressive anyways!
Then i realised I wasn't even in the main part of the shop! I walked through the door and it was like, wowwww! All the lads there were lovely! One of them helped me face my tarantula fear a little bit! But seriously this shop was like heaven! I asked them did they have any snakes that I wouldn't have seen before, they showed me a green tree python! Then I clapped eyes on an adult carpet boa in a viv. I asked could I take her out and they were like, 'yeah sure, it's nice to see a girl into snakes:)" so they basically let me wander around the shop with her for the next hour.
I got bitten by a parrot too:) most of the big birds are out loose and can just sit on top of their cages. And there was a chinchilla which was pretty cool! And of course... Corns galore!
I can't wait till I need more mice :) |

Posted - 05/09/2010 : 19:01:22 yeah i got me one of them ;) My desk is the length of the bed. Just enough room for a big Viv and a little bit of study room :P although sometimes i get distracted and just watch the snakes do their thing! |

One of these days I'm going to get one of those 'captain's beds' ... you know the sort I mean? you see them advertised for student rooms, with a computer desk or bed settee underneath ... WELL, if I got one, think of the massive viv stack I could fit underneath ... ohh ... oh, ****! threw out the Argos catalogue (facepalm) |

I've always wanted to visit Dublin. My grandparents came across to England in the 1920s, though my mother, as a child, went back and lived behind Mountjoy jail and went to a Gaelic speaking school. I've done some folk singing - love Irish folk, Luke Kelly and many others. But to my shame I've never visited Ireland.
That shop really does sound something! |
