Hi
Well I've been noseing (sp?) on all the name sites for a name for my Bloodred hatchling that I'll be collecting next weekend. I wanted a name that meant Red preferably cos of her colour, but I've also found a few names that don't mean Red. Heres my list, what do you think?
Cady/Cadi (American name meaning Pure) - Not Red I just like it.
Cherry (American name meaning Cherry Fruit).
Halo (Greek name meaning Divine Aura) - Not Red I just like it.
Keira/Kiera (Irish name meaning Red).
Phoenix (Greek name meaning Blood Red).
Red (English name meaning Red Haired).
Rosie (English name meaning Rose Flower) - Not Red I just like it.
Rowan ( meaning Red Berry Tree).
Ruby (English name meaning Red Gemstone).
Rusty/Rusti (American name meaning Red Haired).
Sassy - No meaning, I just like it.
Scarlet/Scarlett (English name meaning Red).
Shani (Hebrew name meaning Scarlet, Crimson).
Sienna (English name meaning Reddish Brown).
Thanh (Native American Sioux name meaning Blood Red).
My big faves from the list are Cady, Cherry, Red, Ruby, Phoenix and Sassy. I'm waiting now to see which name suits her when I pick her up, I'm sure she will tell me what she wants to be called.
Its all so exciting, I feel like a kid at Christmas, what with choosing her and picking names, I just can't wait to go and collect her lol, next week will so drag I just know it.  |

pheonix is nice, i like the links it has to immortality.
My corn is called Cherry, so I'm biased on that one hahaha |

Wow, little stunners! How on earth will you decide which one to choose? I suppose when you handle them one will just feel right...
Phoenix certainly suits either of them as a name.  |

I do like Ruby but the Mum of the 2 pictured is called Ruby, so thats the reason why I don't want to call her that. |

We are going to collect her this Saturday (11/09/10) all being well.
I had decided on one particular girl (No. 5) but I'm going to look at 2 girls (No. 1 and No. 5) by the same parents when I get to the breeders and then I'll make my decision. Heres the pics of the 2 girls:-

What do you think, they are both nice aren't they, unfortunately I can't afford both of them lol?
Keep your eyes out for my thread on Saturday afternoon saying which one I picked and what I'd decided to call her.

Hiya
I'm erring towards the name Phoenix as it means Bloodred, but I will still wait till I've collected her as she may not seem like a Phoenix. So will just have to wait and see.

Good names you got there. I like Phoenix and Cherry, just got a nice ring to them.
I bet you're so excited. The time will drag now til you get her, then that really L....O.....N.....G week for settling in has to go by before you can start some serious bonding.
