Sleepy doing what she loved to do... XD
I wish I could have said she went peacefully but she didn't... We noticed a few days a go she had the sneeze but that's nothing new with our chickens, they all get sneezes this time of year because the coop is so dry unless we hose it down every night in this sort of weather and our bantams had the sneeze and were fine as was she. Yesterday she was drinking and feeding well and then today we find her laying down and wheezing so we brought her in but she was still quite perky but had somehow lost a drastic amount of weight overnight.
Brought her in and she was in a cat box on our bed as it's nice and quite and there's no way she would get disturbed and she starts getting worse with wheezing, not really all there and just wanting to sleep. Then we heard like a massive squelch and we though she had a poo so we opened up the box, I see her really gasping and then she started to have s fit and died...
The was no poo when we checked either so we are at loss what the noise was. Were going to ask the vet for maybe some tests to see what had killed her but there is no signs we can see of disease.
This is like the 9/10th animal this year... it's still not getting any easier. |

n'awwww r.i.p sleepy im sooo sorry 4 ya loss :(
it never does get easier when ya loose a pet :( thats what i find anyway :( |

Don't thin so. McCluckers had a tumour and never had the sneezes. Sleepy had sneezes but no tumour as she was serverly dehydrated.
I'm hoping the bantams sneezes are just their normal sneezes and not anything serious... Dopey has been worrying me as she look skinny compared to the other chickens but she is so active and always eating and drinking! |
