I've just put some in my snakes viv because he's shedding and I was wondering if I need to mist it every so often or how long I should keep it in for etc.

Cheers,

Trev

I'd try if it was in his schedule but if he refuses it's no cause for panic. I'd give him a small after he's done the last course of fuzzies.

He's been on fuzzies for just under a month, and i've got 2 weeks worth still left, can I try feeding him while he's in shed? I feed him every 7 days and his next feed should be tomorrow.

Hmm well I'd say keep feeding him fuzzies for a bit untill he starts looking for more food then try a small mouse.

How long has he been on fuzzies for?

Hmm not quite sure what the line could be, I handle my boys in shed, nothing to worry about really, depends how well you 'trust' your snake and the snake trusts you.

Yeah it's in the hot end, I know you aren't supposed to pick them up when they're shedding but I noticed he has a line going all the way from his head to near his tail(this is on his belly) apart from that he seems very content, just another question he's on 2 fuzzies every week at the mo, seeing as he's shedding should I get the next size up once he's finished off the fuzzies we have left?

Cheers

LOL that's quality! 'Sphagnum MOOS!"

Yeah that's good, just tear off a handfull and lay it out in the hide, but not stuff it full, enough so he can semi submerge himself in it.

Is it in the hot end hide?

The moss I bought is like a brick that expands it's pretty amazing i've put it in his favourite hide, the inside of it has condensation all around it, is this ok? Maybe take out some more or something(There's a layer on the floor inside the hide atm)?

Is what I bought.

Hi Trev, I have the same problem, my male goes a really bright pink, instead of his orange, he's quite a bright orange fella though. Okay, I'd say he'd shed in about six days, so keep the moss in there till he sheds, it shan't do any harm,

Alright thanks, because he's an amel I can't really tell if he's came out of blue or not but it's been 3 days since he went dull, how long on average do they take too shed?

Should not need to mist it, too much humidity can cause R.I's, and scale rot.

If it does dry out, simple pour some hot water over it, and squeeze it all out again till it's damp.

Put it in after your snakes come out of blue before he's shed and remove after he's shed, ASAP, as highlighted the dangerous off too high humidity above.
