Posted - 18/06/2010 : 21:07:42 There shouldn't be a distinguished difference made between corns and rat snakes, they are one and the same, hence the name red rat snake. They are the same family just different sub species, they are nearly all either elaphe as the corn was till recently our pantherophis, as they are now. Corns are actually one off the more boring standard color rats, especially compared to things like the thai beauties and mandarins.
Corns happily eat rats anyway, my bigger ones are on weaners! My babies will be on pups as soon as they can too. |

Posted - 18/06/2010 : 20:53:10 they are slightly bigger well longer, and they can be a bit more nippy than corns, well the ones i have handled generally are . |

Posted - 18/06/2010 : 20:42:21 corns are part of th rat family, and they would eat mice same as corns. |
